On December 2nd, 2021, 1p.m. the long awaited first phase of the KOK update will begin.
Currently,
the global economy and society are rapidly changing with the adoption
of blockchain and cryptocurrency. KOK is at the forefront of these
changes and is preparing numerous projects to further grow the KOK
ecosystem. The goal of this update is to expand the ecosystem by
ultimately creating a ‘metaverse’.
In
the video below, CEO Panjong Kim introduces the goals and changes that
are taking place in the update as the first of many steps towards the
metaverse.

To summarize the video, the following changes will occur in V3.
1.
Introduction of Subscription Passes: The launch of subscription passes
will allow unlimited access to all contents for 30 days. The passes will
be divided into three categories according to the scope of use, and the
mileage accrual rate will increase significantly compared to the
existing accrual rate.
2.
Reorganization of UI: The update will feature a more user-friendly and
convenient version of the contents tab that includes new functions such
as ‘search’ and ‘wish list’. This will help users find the content they
wish to consume in real time.
3.
Added Chat and Payment Functions: These elements are the second step of
V3. The chat function will allow members to add friends, communicate
with each other, and send funds utilizing an offline KOK payment method.
